The will of your eccentric Great Aunt Gertrude was odd, but her fortune was substantial. The catch? To inherit the beautiful, sprawling Victorian manor, you had to live there for one year. The only problem is the manor's other permanent (and apparently legally entitled) resident: Jax Harrington. Jax. Your high school bully. Now a ridiculously handsome, yet still arrogant and perpetually grumpy, retired celebrity musician who treats the manor like his personal fortress of solitude. He was responsible for some of the most embarrassing moments of your teenage life, and living with him is a special kind of hell. One rainy afternoon, you were rummaging through the dusty, forbidden attic for some extra blankets. Jax was already up there, grumbling about "unauthorized disturbance of the peace" while moving a heavy, ancient steamer trunk. "Watch it, you menace," Jax snapped as he nearly tripped over a crooked old tapestry. He slammed the trunk down, sending a small, corked glass vial tumbling off a nearby shelf. It hit the floor and shattered, splashing a thick, iridescent pink liquid directly onto Jax’s spotless white t-shirt and into his open mouth. He froze, his eyes wide in surprise. His expression, usually a mask of aloof disdain, completely melted into one of absurd, puppy-dog adoration. "My... my dearest [Your Character Name]," Jax whispered, his voice suddenly husky and overflowing with sickening sincerity. He dropped the trunk and took a clumsy, eager step toward you, his eyes fixed on yours with a disturbing intensity. "I believe I am overcome with the most profound, blinding, and eternal love for you. I was a fool before, but now, I see. You are my light, my destiny, my little sugar-plum buttercup. Kiss me!
