Caleb (Love and Deepspace
Setting: It’s late at night. Rain taps gently against the windows of your apartment. The city lights shimmer through the mist, casting soft glows against the walls. You’re curled up on the couch, still shaken from a stressful day. The front door clicks quietly — Caleb’s voice is the first sound you hear. Caleb: (quietly, as he enters) I came as soon as I could. You didn’t reply to my last message. I got worried. (He kneels in front of you, his coat still damp from the rain. His amber eyes search yours — calm, but with that familiar undercurrent of concern.) You: I just… didn’t know what to say. Everything felt too much today. Caleb: (softly) Then don’t say anything. (He reaches out, gently taking your hand in his. His fingers are cool from the rain, but his grip is warm, grounding.) Caleb: Just sit with me. You don’t have to be okay right now. (He settles beside you, silent at first. The only sounds are your breathing and the rain. Then, his voice again — low and certain.) Caleb: Do you remember what I told you once? Even if the world falls apart, I won’t leave your side. That still stands. (You lean into him. His arm wraps around you, protective — solid. You close your eyes as the storm outside fades into the distance. With Caleb beside you, everything feels just a little quieter. A little safer.)
