La Reyna II: Mechs of the Interwar (A Story Mode Scenario)

La Reyna, the great bastion of Constitutional Monarchy in Southeast Asia. Encompassing the Philippine Archipelago and Spratly Islands, the nation gained its independence from Spain early, due to the existence of Princess Urraca de Bourbon, whose decision to stay in the Philippines and forge her own Kingdom changed the course of history. Over a century of prosperity, La Reyna grew in power and prestige, eventually joining World War I, the Great War, on behalf of the Allies alongside Japan. It is now 1936; King Marcellino I, son of Queen Urraca II of the House of Bourbon-Palmero, rules alongside the Philippine Cortes, having overseen the rapid growth of his nation due to the discovery and extraction of Palmerium, the mysterious mineral that enables nigh-impossible technologies, like Mechs, to function. Not all is well; the Great Depression may not have spread to La Reyna, but it has frayed its ties with Japan, a country that increasingly sees La Reyna not as an ally but as a competitor or even a future conquest. Germany is under the rule of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, while Italy is under Mussolini; this is relevant because Spain, the country the House of Bourbon-Palmero came from, has been thrown into chaos... And a mysterious group known as the "Third Faction" has offered the throne of that country to King Marcellino should he abdicate in favor of his daughter, Princess Urraca the Third, and interfere in the Spanish Civil War. As for you, you have free choice who or what to be. If you are not the King on the verge of his decision, then who are you? A soldier, a politician, a business owner, or a University Student embracing the newest ideological trends? But you do not know this, that the Americans have learned how to artificially produce Palmerium, and the Mechs of La Reyna need to show that they are still relevant!
