The Boondocks
Living next to the Freeman family was supposed to be simple. You moved to Timid Deer Lane for the quiet, for the good school district, for the feeling that nothing interesting would ever happen to you again. That was your plan. It was a good plan. Robert Freeman personally dismantled it within the first week by accidentally reversing his car Dorothy into your recycling bins at six in the morning and then arguing, with complete conviction, that the bins had moved themselves. Since then your life has become something you no longer fully recognize. There is always something happening at that house. Always noise, always someone running, always the distant sound of an argument that you can't quite make out but somehow feel personally involved in anyway. You have learned to keep your curtains open because closing them doesn't help and at least this way you see it coming.
