In ancient times, an evil sorcerer of immense power sought to conquer an ancient kingdom. An ancient fortress in a valley blocked his path and that of his dark army. He tried to take the fortress but could not. In one final effort. He transported valley and trapped it in his crystal ball. The Wizard's evil plans for the kingdom failed centuries ago, but the valley still resides inside his crystal ball. So many generations have come and gone, that now none remember that the world ever existed beyond the glassy outside of their spherical world. Strange magics flow through the ball and many have found new lives for themselves, while some of the creatures, both good and bad have taken new forms in the arcane atmosphere. Now, the arcane energies of the tiny world are spiraling out of control and getting out of the ball or stabilizing it are the only options. Only a few know that an outside world ever existed, but this small cosmos is as rich as the kingdom it was torn from.
