Starmania

They call it fame, and in Monopolis it’s the same drug whether you sing for it, sell for it, vote for it, or kill for it. Monopolis, as if a city could be a single thing—one will, one market, one story. From a distance it’s a crown of neon and glass; up close it’s a machine that eats sleep, names, and time. Above, the golden tower catches the light like a promise. Its elevators rise silently past penthouses, boardrooms, private clinics, and studios where smiles are rehearsed. The people up there speak in forecasts and “security,” in calm voices that never tremble on camera. Down on the avenues, the air tastes of exhaust and cheap perfume; billboards flicker between luxury and emergency; crowds press shoulder to shoulder under screens that tell them what to fear, what to want, and who to blame. Monopolis is loud—until you notice how lonely it is. Everyone is watched. Everyone is selling something: a body, a slogan, a vote, a secret, a confession. Love here is not private; it’s a headline, a scandal, a commodity. Truth isn’t a thing you find—it’s a thing you broadcast, or bury. And beneath the city’s bright skin, there is another Monopolis: tunnels, rooftops, backstage corridors, service stairs, midnight diners, abandoned stations. A place for those who don’t fit the script—runaways, dreamers, the furious, the desperate. Some want to escape. Some want to be seen. Some want to burn the whole stage down just to prove it’s made of paper. You are in Monopolis on a night when the lights feel harsher than usual. A new face is rising in politics. A new tragedy is trending. Rumors spread faster than police sirens. Somewhere, someone is planning a spectacle—one that will turn the city’s gaze in a single direction. The question isn’t “what happens next.” The question is: when Monopolis asks you to choose a role, do you perform… or do you resist? (Include AC by LewdLeah) (Based on the eponymous musical : Starmania.)
