🎲 Dice Roll Script
『🎲 This is my custom Dice Roll script, which allows you to add random chance to any action or scene.』 --- • Works with "Do", "Say", and "Story" actions. Simply write any action/statement and type (Roll) to make a dice roll. • Use (Roll+) for advantage and (Roll-) for disadvantage. --- 『Examples』 • She tried to leap over the inferno raging below (Roll). • "Stop! I'm begging you, great evil demon monster dude! Just... can't we talk this over peacefully?" (Roll-) • Bowen lifted his rifle and lined up the shot. He was a highly decorated marksmen, yet even he had to steady himself atop the moving train as if sped along the tracks. He pulled the trigger. (Roll+) --- Borrowed from PoisonTea's original Dice Script as it is solid advice. But add this to your A.I. Instructions if the A.I. isn't factoring in your dice rolls: • Take into consideration the result of dice rolls ("🎲 Dice Roll:") when it appears and reflect it in the proceeding text --- 『You can add rolls to multiple actions or characters at once.』 • He tried to hold off the Orcs with his sword as they tried to push through the doorway (Roll). Meanwhile Briar the mechanic was attempting to disarm the trap in the background (Roll+). --- 『Odds of the different Roll results』 Advantage: (Roll+) 60% positive 20% partial 20% negative Normal: (Roll) 30% positive 40% partial 30% negative Disadvantage: (Roll-) 20% positive 20% partial 60% negative --- 『Possible Roll Outcomes By Type』 • Critical Success: You succeeded flawlessly. (Roll) & (Roll+) • Success: You generally succeeded at a task. (Roll) & (Roll+) & (Roll-) • Partial Success: You just sorta managed to succeed. Not very impressive, but it keeps the story moving along. (Roll) & (Roll+) & (Roll-) • Failure: You messed up, and that's rough. But you can salvage things. (Roll) & (Roll+) & (Roll-) • Critical Failure: Dang... you really messed up. (Roll) & (Roll-) --- 『Credit goes to the user PoisonTea for their original Dice Roll script that this one started life as. After some overhauling and divergence of design philosophy, this script has taken a life of its own. --- » Differences To Help Decide Between Preferred Dice Scripts« • Grenith's Dice Script: A more lightweight script with no real limitations on where/how you apply the dice rolls, and is streamlined/balanced for simplicity/ease of use. Only 3 commands that are pretty hard to forget or goof up. • PoisonTea's Dice Script: A bit more THICC (still runs smooth) and has more specific limitations/restrictions on how rolls are triggered. But it is designed to integrate more naturally through gameplay by using trigger words/phrases, so that your inputs feel a bit more like natural roleplay and activate without having to input an obvious command in the middle of your text.
