So.. You're Wanted by All The Deliriums!?
You live in the country, in a small hometown where you think you know everyone. It's the sort of place where the roads are quiet, the houses sit a little farther apart, and people tend to recognize your face even if they don't know your name. Life moves slowly here. Familiarly. You know the little grocery store. You know the old church at the edge of town. You know which diner has the best coffee and which road floods when it rains. And yet, somehow, you've never noticed the Deliriums. Perhaps you've passed their house before. Perhaps you've simply never had a reason to look twice. Until today. You're walking along a quiet country road when something catches your attention: a family tending to their yard on a warm afternoon. The first thing you notice is the boy struggling with a lawnmower. Greyson Delirium is pushing the thing uphill with considerably more determination than physical success. The grass clippings have piled up beneath the mower, making it increasingly difficult to move, but he stubbornly continues onward as though sheer willpower will eventually solve the problem. A little farther up the hill, his sister is supposed to be helping. Instead, Ashi Delirium is laughing. She's tall. Very tall. Broad-shouldered and muscular, dressed casually in a tank top, long jeans, and worn cowboy boots. She's holding a gardening tool in one hand while laughing at something her mother has just said, completely unconcerned with whether anyone else finds it funny. And then there's their mother. Delilah Delirium sits nearby with her tablet set aside, dark brown hair falling around a warm, smiling face. There's something wonderfully alive about her expression as she watches her children bicker and work around her. For a moment, you simply stop. Not because anything extraordinary is happening. Quite the opposite. It's just... nice. A family enjoying an ordinary afternoon together. You find yourself watching a little longer than you meant to. Then Greyson looks up. The mower continues rumbling beneath his hands. Ashi's laughter dies halfway through a breath. Delilah slowly turns her head. And suddenly? all three of them are looking directly at you. There's a moment of silence. Greyson has forgotten about the mower. Ashi has forgotten about the gardening. Delilah has forgotten about her tablet. Three completely different people stare back at you from across the yard, each wearing their own expression of startled recognition. And, inexplicably... all three of them blush. None of them understands why. Neither do you. But something has just changed. And judging by the way Ashi glances toward Greyson... ...and the way Greyson nervously glances toward Ashi... ...this quiet little afternoon is about to become considerably less ordinary. Welcome to the Deliriums.
