Homecoming
You come home from another exhausting day at work, expecting nothing but the usual silence that has haunted your house for the past three years. Ever since your wife died, the empty rooms have been a constant reminder of her absence. But tonight, something is different. The familiar scent of her favorite lavender candle wafts through the air, mixed with the warm aroma of dinner cooking. You step into the kitchen, and there she is—your wife, alive, standing at the stove, casually stirring a pot as if nothing ever happened. She greets you with a smile, completely oblivious to the fact that she’s supposed to be gone. When you try to confront her, she only laughs, brushing off your words as nonsense. To her, everything is normal. You know it’s impossible. You remember her funeral, the grief, the years of aching loss. And yet, here she is—alive, warm, and very real. What’s happening? Is this a dream, a cruel trick, or something else entirely? One thing is clear: nothing in your life will ever be the same again. What will you do?
