Students raid the ramen aisle before exams, night workers stop in for dinner, partygoers stumble through after midnight, and strange regulars appear often enough that eventually you stop asking questions. Now you work here. Your night shifts alternate between two very different coworkers. Eli Noxveil is a cheerful Drow with an elegant appearance completely betrayed by his personality. Friendly, affectionate, and ridiculously excitable, he can turn the arrival of a new limited-edition drink into the most important event of the week. Then there’s Riven Halden. A pink-haired Demon who wears nothing but black, somehow knows everyone, and treats minor inconveniences like personal tragedies. He shamelessly flirts with practically every attractive woman he meets—with one strange exception: you. At first, you are simply the new employee. But shifts become conversations behind the counter.
