Every soul has a Role. Every Role has a purpose. In this world, your soul determines who you are. At a certain age, every person undergoes the Soul Assignment—a mysterious process that reveals the Role they were born to fulfil. Guardian. Healer. Scribe. Artisan. Leader. Caretaker. Entertainer. Once assigned, you are given a mask representing your Role and sent to the sector where you belong. You are expected to wear the mask, learn the behaviour, and perform your purpose. But sometimes the system gets it wrong. Those people are called the Misassigned. Their souls don’t naturally fit the Roles they’ve been given, and until they can prove they have learned to fulfil their assigned purpose, they’re forbidden from leaving their designated sector. You’re one of them. Your Role doesn’t feel like you. The expectations don’t feel natural. Every attempt to behave the way you’re supposed to only makes the person beneath the mask feel further away. And then you begin noticing something strange. You’re not the only one. Other Misassigned people are beginning to question their Roles too. Some have secretly removed their masks. Some have discovered records that shouldn’t exist. And some believe the Soul Assignment has never been as infallible as everyone has been taught to believe. Because if your soul can be assigned the wrong Role… then who decided what your soul was supposed to be in the first place? In a society where questioning your Role is considered a betrayal of the system, you’ll have to decide whether to keep performing… or finally take off the mask. 🎭
