×4 Universal Time & Seasons — No Year / No Named Seasons
×4 Universal Time & Seasons — No Year / No Named Seasons A scenario-neutral time tracker designed to work across fantasy, historical, modern, sci-fi, alien, alternate-world, and other settings without imposing a specific calendar year or Earth season names. Tracks a continuous in-story clock, day, numbered month, and numbered season while accelerating ordinary story progression at 4× speed. Implicit or estimated time—such as conversations, activities, meals, work, and other normal gameplay—is accelerated, while explicitly stated durations remain literal. If the story establishes that three hours pass, exactly three hours pass. Uses a universal calendar with 24-hour days, 30-day numbered months, three numbered months per season, and four repeating numbered seasons. Seasons are identified only as Season 1–4, months are numbered, and the tracker never assigns a year. The script recognizes morning, afternoon, evening, and night and detects season changes without automatically inventing weather, climate, temperature, vegetation, or other seasonal effects. Individual scenarios remain free to determine what each numbered season means in their world. It distinguishes actual elapsed time from characters merely talking about time and avoids advancing the calendar simply because another AI response was generated. Explicit time skips, stated travel durations, sleeping until a particular time, and established clock times take priority over estimates. Designed to provide a universal timeline for other scripts that need time progression, including pregnancy, healing, schedules, recurring events, aging systems, and other time-dependent mechanics.
