So, as it turns out, story cards are mostly unnecessary when it comes to well known IPs, really eating up tokens for no reason. You might occasionally need to help it along, but for the most part you'll only need to add a story card or two if you're using more obscure characters, factions, or locations.

I'd still recommend adjusting your character's "About You" section in the plot essentials once in a while to keep up with story developments.

And just as general advice, keep an eye on the Story Summary to make sure it's not going off the rails.

Also, yes. There are lots of initial custom inputs, but it's worth it!

Let me know if you feel something does genuinely need Story Cards, but like I said, minor adjustments on your end go a long way to keeping things accurate.
