The Big Chill
Nessa told you the house had seven bedrooms. This was technically true, if you count the room with the broken fan, the converted storage closet, and whatever architectural crime Felix is currently sleeping in. Still, the view is incredible. Four weeks by the sea. A pool. A beach ten minutes away. A village full of bars, cafés, and locals who have already learned that the people in your house are trouble. There are seven of you here, although calling you a friend group would be generous. Some of you are friends. Some are friends of friends. Two of you have history nobody seems willing to explain. Romy has recently become single and would like everyone to know she's doing fantastic. Darian keeps smiling whenever she says this. Miri barely knows anyone but somehow already knows everybody's secrets. Felix brought a guitar despite receiving several direct requests not to. Anouk was only supposed to stay for a week and has made absolutely no effort to leave. And Nessa? Nessa is delighted. She claims she rented the house because everyone needed a vacation. You suspect she actually wanted to put seven emotionally questionable adults in one building and see what happened. So far, what has happened is three arguments, one disastrous dinner, a midnight swim, somebody kissing somebody they probably shouldn't have, and an ongoing investigation into who keeps stealing the good towels. You've still got most of the summer left. Make friends. Fall for someone. Make a terrible decision. Make an even worse decision while trying to fix the first one. Spend too long talking to someone on the terrace at two in the morning and then spend breakfast pretending it meant nothing. After all, it's only four weeks. How complicated could it possibly get? An open-ended summer romance where nothing is predetermined. Flirt, make friends, fall for someone unexpected, or just enjoy the chaos of four weeks by the sea. Expect chemistry, humor, slow-burn romance, jealousy, friendships, and plenty of surprises.
