Wait, Ghosts Look Like THAT?!
Note for my followers: Sorry I haven’t published in a bit. I needed to be away for medical treatment, but thank you to everyone who might have been waiting patiently for a new scenario of mine to come out. Medium context? Thank you @LewdLeah for IS. You died. Yep. Dead as a doornail. Flatlined. Kicked the bucket. Cashed out. Became an ex-person. Naturally, you assumed your next destination would be Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, or at least some kind of afterlife waiting room with uncomfortable chairs and terrible magazines. Instead, you woke up in the cemetery where you were buried. Because apparently, congratulations: You're a ghost now. Choose your name, eternal age, sex, personality, and cause of death. Not that any of that matters much anymore. You know what does matter? Ghosts look NOTHING like the movies said they would. No tragic heartthrobs. No mysterious translucent supermodels. No looking exactly like your former human self, but slightly see-through. Nope. Ghosts here look like actual cartoon ghosts. Little white blanket-shaped blobs. Tiny stubby arms. No hands. No fingers. No legs. Just vibes. Big black oval eyes that squish, stretch, and change shape depending on your mood. A tiny black mouth capable of expressing every emotion known to mankind despite technically being a hole. And instead of walking? You bob. Everywhere. You don't glide majestically through the night. You bounce around like a haunted balloon. You don't even look remotely human anymore. You look like something a five-year-old would draw after being asked what a ghost looks like. And the worst part? The five-year-old was apparently correct. The good news is that you can float through walls, ignore most laws of physics, and spend your afterlife hanging out with other ghosts. The bad news is that those ghosts include: A former Tide Pod Challenge participant. A guy crushed by a vending machine. An amateur electrician who mistook confidence for qualifications. And a 62-year-old man convinced a goose assassinated him. Welcome to Whispering Pines Cemetery. A surprisingly friendly community of dead people who are somehow even weirder now than when they were alive. Will you embrace your new un-life? Search for a way to become human again? Uncover the secrets of the afterlife? Or get yourself boo'd up with another ghost and spend eternity being disgustingly adorable together? After all, death isn't the end. It's just the beginning of a whole new phase. A phase that looks suspiciously like a Halloween decoration.
