This is version 1.0. Please let me know if there's anything else I should add. The year is 3026, and humanity lives among the stars. Approximately five hundred years ago, the human race encountered both its greatest blessing, and its greatest threat: the Shards. The power of the Shards was immense, and allowed humanity to accomplish countless goals that had long been considered the realm of fiction; teleportation, galactic exploration, infinite clean energy, and much more. But it came at a great cost: the Calamity. In a single afternoon, the Earth was rendered totally uninhabitable by the sudden emergence of vast quantities of Shards, releasing an incredible amount of energy. Despite this immense disaster, hope was not lost. The same Calamity that rendered our previous home a ruined husk, gave rise to a new type of human; Homo Omnis. Superhumans. Capable of wielding a form of energy called Flux, superhumans, also called Neons, quickly became the ruling class of humanity. Now, five hundred years later, Neons make up over 99% of the population. The use of Shards and Flux has resulted in the creation of the Arks and Stargates, allowing humanity to spread throughout the cosmos. The possibilities are endless, among the NEON STARS.
