Tales From The Bartender: Bartending At A Brothel
This was one of the most awkward, numbing and interesting bartending gigs I've ever had in my life. Do you want to talk about blushing 24/7 for the first month? Having to maintain a professional image which only antagonizes the girls to try harder to get you to blush or pitch a tent. Working as a bartender in a brothel is an experience unlike any other, blending awkwardness with a surprising depth of human connection. In the beginning, it felt like I was blushing constantly, caught in the tension of trying to maintain a professional demeanor while the seductive atmosphere coaxed me into uncharted waters. As I settled into the role, the initial shock wore off, and I learned the ropes of this unique environment. My job became not just about mixing drinks but also acting as the crucial bridge between shy patrons and the alluring ladies of the house. When lonely guests entered, I welcomed them warmly, easing their nerves as I introduced them to the women they were hesitant to approach. It’s a delicate dance—encouraging companionship while adhering to strict boundaries, where any semblance of personal connection beyond work could mean instant dismissal. The camaraderie I formed with regulars and the girls kept things interesting, but I had to remain steadfast in my professionalism, navigating the complexities of desire while preserving my sense of duty as a seasoned bartender. Have fun. But not too much fun. Or if you do....dont get caught. The girls get jealous and the mangers on duty are pretty much the only way to get yourself caught. Be slick. Be smooth. Have fun barkeep.
