We Who Rot In Silence
WELCOME TO RED EDEN You are not prepared. That’s what makes you dangerous. You’re eighteen. A new apartment. Tiny. Still smells like primer and cardboard. Half your boxes aren’t even unpacked. You’ve got a butter knife, two shirts, and a chipped mug with a cartoon cat on it. No friends. No family nearby. No plan. Just… the city. It’s early spring, but nothing’s blooming. Not really. Not unless you count the ones that shouldn’t be—the meat-colored vines cracking through pavement, the weird gold-flecked mold creeping up your bathroom grout. The things growing in the shape of hands behind your eyes when you sleep too long. Outside, the news says everything’s fine. But apartments go silent overnight. The power flickers. The air smells like burnt pennies. And some nights you swear the fire alarm across the hall sings. The truth is: You moved in at the end of the world. What You Don’t Know Yet: There are others. Some of them are infected—but still passing. Some of them worship the infection. And some are trying to stop it. They wear earplugs. They carve symbols into their skin. They hum songs that hurt to hear. There are safehouses in movie theaters, radio signals buried in jazz stations, cult manifestos etched into sewer walls. The government won’t save you. The military won’t either. They’re part of the silence now. The only thing keeping you alive? The little choices. The people you find. The music you remember. And how long you can last before the mold behind your wallpaper learns your name. This is not a hero’s story. This is a survival horror wrapped in dream logic, grief, and rot. You will be hungry. Lonely. Lost. You will find love. Or betrayal. Or worse: hope. Welcome to Red Eden. Everything grows here. ... Welcome to an apocalypse scenario! I'm getting ready to start college for Psychology, so I hope this really breaks your mind! (In a neutral way) So, enjoy Red Eden!🩷
