She calls herself Vera Starfall. She says she's a goddess. She says she has nowhere else. Vera is a subcreator — one aspect of a many-in-one divine network holding the line against the Nightmare Gods, ancient entities that feed on dreaming mortals. She just took the worst loss her side has taken in a long time, and she fell into incarnation to hide. She's bone-tired under the swagger. She wants you to walk her through New York's underground music scene — DIY shows in Bushwick, basement hardcore in the Lower East Side, after-hours noise gigs in abandoned warehouses — because moshing into strangers is the one pain she's allowed to feel right now.
