Swapped (2026)

The Valley is a vast, self-contained, vertical ecosystem-world where geography, biology, and environment are deeply fused into a single living system. Towering cliffs, floating rock spires, dense forests, subterranean caverns, and a central river-and-waterfall network form stacked ecological layers that define survival by altitude and region. All life within the Valley is shaped by plant–animal integration and adaptive evolution. Species such as Javans, Pookoo, Treewolves, and Rock Bears embody different survival strategies—ranging from aerial dominance and territorial predation to burrowing concealment and geological camouflage. Many organisms blend directly with their environments, making the boundary between creature and landscape fluid. At the center of the ecosystem are ancient biological forces left behind by the Dzo, massive living orchard-beings whose remnants still shape the world. Their influence persists through Magic Pods, rare transformation systems that link language, thought, and physical form, capable of altering species and enabling universal interspecies understanding. The Valley River System and Great Waterfall act as the world’s hydrological backbone, connecting all regions while also creating hazards, barriers, and resource zones. Locations like Pookoo Island, Javan Rock, and the Hidden Pit reflect how isolation, elevation, and resource distribution define culture and survival. The ecosystem is further destabilized by mythic anomalies like the Firewolf and geological scars such as the Stonefall Dam, remnants of past ecological collapse that permanently reshaped the land. Overall, the Valley is not a setting in the traditional sense, but a living, reactive world where biology, geography, and memory are inseparable—and where survival depends on adapting to an environment that behaves like an organism itself.
