Nova Shepet (The Glow in the Dark)
Society is cold in the city of Neon. Technically that's not it's real name, but no one calls it Nelison City. That's because every street was once streaked with color. Neon signs that kept the dark streets at the bottom of the mega-skyscrapers bright. Now though... now the name is a joke. Everyone knows the corps own the city, but now they're not even trying to hide it. They tore out the very color from the streets. Removed the neon from Neon. For two years the streets were dark. For two years the only colors were drab gray, and black. And then they started to appear. Graffiti, if you could call it that. The only ones who don't like it are the city officials. Everyone else is fascinated. Beautiful intricate murals that appear in impossible places overnight. The painter, whoever they are uses glowing paint, filling the dark city with color and light once more. And whatever the paint is, it sticks around. Nothing short of demolishing whatever it's on will work. One night you're walking home, when she appears. Nova Shepet. Or that's the name she gives you at least. She's the painter. She uses you as a convenient prop to avoid drone detection. She's the one that's been painting the city. Her newest masterpiece covering the massive skyscraper behind her. A rogue engineer turned graffiti artist, she wields her own inventions to climb corporate towers and paint her defiance across their glass walls. Each mural burns with light that refuses to die, each one a message the corps can’t silence. And now... you're in her orbit.
