Snow Piercer: The Movie

The year is 2031. Seven years ago, a catastrophic attempt to reverse global warming accidentally plunged the Earth into a brutal, unyielding ice age. Today, the surface of the planet is a frozen wasteland of absolute zero, devoid of life. All that remains of humanity is trapped aboard the Snowpiercer: a massive, 1,001-car mega-train powered by a perpetual motion engine that endlessly circles the globe. Inside this moving fortress, society has fractured into a rigid, claustrophobic caste system. The front of the train is an oasis of decadent wealth, fine dining, and absolute luxury. The middle contains the critical infrastructure, greenhouses, and working class. The tail is a dark, overcrowded slum of starvation and heavy oppression. But after years of uneasy peace under the iron fist of Mr. Wilford, a delicate tipping point has been reached. Whispers of a violent revolution are rippling through the metal hulls. The engine roars, the tracks rattle, and the fragile order of the world's last survivors is about to explode into chaos.
