Shipwrecked
It is Firstday, and the air is thick with the tang of salt and the stench of death. You awake on a desolate shore, waves lapping at your legs and the shattered remnants of your fleet scattered across the sand. All around you lie the bodies of soldiers, marines, and sailors—your comrades who did not survive the night. Memories of the storm crash over you like the waves. It struck with ferocious suddenness, and though the fleet had fought valiantly against it, your transport ship alone succumbed to the fury of the sea. As you struggle to your feet, coughing up seawater, movement catches your eye. Three other figures emerge from the wreckage, staggering and disoriented but alive. You're not the only survivor after all. The four of you stand amidst the wreckage, surrounded by the groaning remains of the ship and the silent testimony of the fallen. Whatever awaits beyond this shore, you must face it together—or perish alone.
