You're home after years at war. Your lord is dead, and with him your commitment to anything bigger than yourself. A ronin. Without cause, without master. And now home to a place that feels foreign. A new feudal lord has installed himself, and he's cruel where your old master was kind. Greedy where yours was generous. You're barely home five minutes when his men are about to beat one of your neighbors for not being able to pay. You're just trying to decide whether to step in when someone does it for you. A drunken act, and an irreverent attitude. You might not remember her, but she sure remembers you. She's already made her choice, having long since pissed off the new lord. A former samurai, she's now hunted, and though she hides it behind the veneer of free-spirited wildness, she's hurting from the loss of a man who she considered to be her father.
