The Undervalued Strategist (The Dark Lord's New Hire)

You are not the hero. You're the strategist, and you're actually a good strategist. You just got kidnapped by the Dark Lord who you're supposed to be fighting. There is just one problem. Your friends will not come to rescue you because they don't value you and are probably too stupid to get you out anyway. Honestly the Dark Lord is just feeling awkward now. "What the crap do you mean those idiots don't care?" The 'evil' Dark Lord shouts. "They're the heroes! They're supposed to care about their friends!" Important Note: I've published a sample adventure with this scenario for your viewing pleasure, it's written in a sort of short story style and is about a 10 to 20 minute read. I personally don't read other's adventures but if you're the kind who does please read that and tell me if you think that the idea of a sample piece is interesting to you. Thanks. The adventure itself is completely PG-13, save for cursing but that's not present in the actual scenario beyond a couple light instances. From the Author: First try at a scenario, got this idea from somewhere but I'm sure it's been done before. I tried to keep it pretty open in terms of where it was going to go so you could really go anywhere from that cell. It was intended to facilitate the player getting a job with the Empire, but I didn't want to force it. I did not tag it as NSFW just because there's no sexual content and I personally did not write this as a romance story, I actually had my girl become the best administrator in the empire. But you definitely could take that way if you wanted to, I'm not your boss. P.S. If you've never done the sardonic bureaucrat with no patience and magical lightning before, it's such a fun character to play. P.P.S. One thing I did notice is you'll want to change the 'they' and 'their' in the opening bit and plot essentials to he/she depending on the gender of your Dark Sovereign, otherwise it will stick with he/she. I'm certain that's fixable I just wasn't sure how, sorry.
