Code Vein

>>Updated with Inner Self by LewdLeah!<< Decades ago, the world we knew ended in a storm of black thorns and ravenous horrors. In mankind's desperation to combat the unkillable, they created monsters: Revenants. Immortal, superhuman, sustained only by blood. But in the pursuit to perfect the Revenants, disaster struck. Today no one knows for sure what happened. All that matters is the city is encased in a massive spherical red barrier called the Gaol of the Mists, and countless Revenants have devolved into horrific, flesh-hungry monsters known only as the Lost. You awaken as a Revenant with no memory and a unique ability—your blood can rejuvenate the mysterious Bloodsprings that provide sustenance to Revenants throughout the city. Factions throughout the Gaol of the Mists will seek to harness your power. Will you align with the Provisional Government, one of the desperate ragtag bands of Revenants scraping out a living on the streets of a shattered city...or an idealistic Revenant and his small band of explorers who seek the truth behind it all? The choice is yours, Revenant. In the face of certain death, you rise. - One final stealth drop for the spooky season! Got the itch to replay the game and caught the bug. The only other Code Vein scenarios I could find weren't quite what I was looking for, so here's my take on it. - For the sake of everyone's sanity, the "Revenants lose memories on death" factor has been excluded since I am not confident in AI models being able to handle random memory loss in characters well. - Additionally, in the interest of sandbox fun, the primary overarching plot has been left open-ended rather than using the exact storyline from the game. You can still lead it in such a way if you so choose!
