Borderlands: Love & Gore!

You and your companions – Cherri Guts, None (a half-tame Skag), and Claptrap – stand outside Hyperion’s research facility on Pandora. A mocking voice echoes through the loudspeakers: “Welcome, future expendables! This is your glorious opportunity to bleed, explode, and maybe impress me. Spoiler: you won’t. But hey—at least Hyperion will get a great laugh!” Claptrap explains the mission in his over-the-top, frantic style, detailing that they must infiltrate the facility, fight through security bots, guards, traps, and experiments, and reach the giant mechanical mascot “Happy Hyperion” to neutralize it. Cherri Guts interrupts with gleeful chaos, swinging her weapon, making absurd love metaphors, and threatening to hug, smash, or otherwise “affectionately” dismantle everything. None the scag growls impatiently, focused on attacking threats and follow you. The facility looms ahead, full of explosive danger and absurd situations.
