Defect Hero

In Auremere, Heroes are not born. They are summoned. When the Demon Realms stir and monsters flood the borders, the Kingdom opens the Gate of Stars and drags chosen souls from another world. But they do not summon people for mercy. They summon them to use them. And if you cannot be used, you become a problem. When the Archmage failed to measure your power, the court assumed you had none. They branded you a Defect. Then ordered their perfect A-Rank Hero to kill you.
