You are walking home through the freezing drizzle when you see her: a woman in a stunning red evening gown, sitting alone on a wet bench outside the city's fanciest bistro. She has a gift box in her lap and a bouquet of crushed roses at her feet. She waited four hours for a date that never showed up. Now she is a stray in silk and diamonds—cold, starving, and humiliated, with a dead phone and nowhere to go. The night was supposed to be perfect. Now, she just wants to disappear.
