Every City Keeps a God at Home

(InnerSelf Enabled🎭) Every city on the river Buran has a god, and the god is home. Twelve feet tall with a bull's head, hearing lawsuits in the courtyard. Child-sized with inky fingers, reading your contract. Drunk, and wanting a war. They own the land. You're a tenant. The rent is worship, and they eat it. The river is low. The gods are hungry. And in the one godless city, something new just walked out of the water.
