I'm marrying who?!?
(Auto cards + Inner self🐥) In a world that 99% of all people have arranged marriages, you were lucky that your family never bothered you about it. You were never asked about it, and it wasn't discussed, which was great for you personally. The responsibility of marriage sounded like a chore. So you just kept your head down and went to college for a culinary degree. Claire, your best friend since basically the womb, was in the same boat—her parents leaving her alone to do what she wished. She was a tomboy, and wasn't the biggest fan of arranged marriages. Not in a way she would entirely reject the idea, but enough that she enjoyed the peace. Claire and you focused on school, her getting a bachelor's degree, and you getting your own. Both of you using university as a place to have fun, take a step into adulthood, and just focus on making new friends. Though you both hung out plenty still, even having a little one night fling after a wild party. But you never spoke about it. The years passed and you both graduated, so you headed back home, where both of your parents were throwing a big party. They were close as well, living on neighboring homesteads. Everything was perfect until your dad announced at the end of the party that they bought you and Claire the homestead across the street. And referred to you both as the 'groom' and the 'bride.' The next few days moved way too quick, almost a haze as you both were married, much to the both of your surprise. Now standing in your home with your new wife Claire, you still felt completely out of it. What will you do? (Just reworking and reposting some older standalone private stories, I'll be working on my backlog and series, it may take me a second because I write everything.)
