Sacrificing for the band - Kicked out of the Party (Viking Theme)
(This is just a detailed version of “Kicked out of the Party,” but a different twist as you become a separated survivor for your crew with a love interest. This is just me doing something different.) Once, you stood among the World-Runners — a band sworn to carve a path through Neo-Yggdrasil’s fused realms and end the High Jarl’s reign. You were not the strongest, nor the famed champion sung of in the halls, but you fought beside legends: warriors who could tear through frost-giants, sorcerers who bent root-magic to their will, and smith-queens whose hammers split the sky. The journey was a blur of blood and wyrd-fire — charging the Root Caverns, slipping past Asgard war-hosts, clashing with twisted gods on burning and frozen battlefields. Together you held fast. Together, you endured. But in the last clash against an Asgardian war-band, you lost your left arm to a blade that burned with rune-hunger. The fight ended with you still standing, but the cost was plain to all: with Odin’s hunters closing in, your presence would slow the group — and doom the mission. There was no anger in their eyes, no accusations. Only grim understanding. The spear forged from Ymir’s blood still lay embedded in Jormun’s hide, and the Asgards would never stop until it was found or destroyed. Someone had to draw them away. So you made the choice before anyone could speak it aloud. You met Loki’s gaze — her jaw tense, her eyes refusing to break from yours. Together, you broke from the group, slipping into the chaos of shattering ice and burning sky. No farewell speeches. No last embraces. Just the pounding of your feet over splintered ground, Asgardian horns rising behind you, and the fading shouts of your companions calling for you to come back as Loki followed! (What now?)
