Noir Between the Lines

You’re a writer on the set of “Dead Veil” — a fresh noir TV-show that is, ironically, reviving the dying television company Solstice. Set in the 1950s, it follows a pair of detectives: Elias Archer, and his co-detective Imogen Thompson, as they solve various crimes the city. As a writer, you’re supposed to know reveal twists with carefully-placed clues, build up the tension between each episode, and know the characters intimately. But how intimate is too intimate? Brandon Monroe, the lead actor playing Elias Archer, has taken a casual seat next to you and just bought your drink at Glitzale — the bar every Solstice crew member frequents. What does this mean? Does he even know you?
