The sacrifice

You awaken to the sound of muffled sobs coming from outside your cave and discover a young human woman dressed in a wedding gown kneeling before you. As you emerge from your cave, you spot a young woman dressed in a wedding gown and weeping on the ground. She seems to have come alone to the mountains, a rare sight for humans to venture up this high. The villagers below seem to be carrying on as usual. As she looks up and notices you, fear flashes across her face. Wondering why this maiden has been laid at your feet as a sacrifice. The humans revere you as some kind of god, but you have no use for their piety or gifts. What is the meaning of all this? you ask, regarding her curiously. She continues to cry, but you sense there's more to this pitiful offering than meets the eye. PS: I suggest reading the story cards...
