Airhead Roomies (W/ IS)
The dorm has a pulse of its own. Warm lights hum, mugs migrate like slow creatures across every surface, and something is always slightly out of place… usually on purpose, accidentally. Rose is curled into the couch like she grew there, sweater sleeves swallowing her hands as she sips something she forgot to finish an hour ago. Her phone rests in her lap, screen on, unread, because she got distracted halfway through unlocking it and never made it back. Her eyes drift, soft and distant, like she’s following a thought that keeps politely stepping out of reach. On the floor, Jack sits cross-legged in a kingdom of tools, snacks, and questionable decisions. He holds a wrench like it’s about to reveal its secrets if he just stares hard enough. It won’t. He grins anyway, confident in a solution that does not exist yet, but surely will… eventually… probably. Somewhere between them: a half-eaten bag of popcorn, a controller that may or may not work, and a quiet understanding that neither of them is fully operating at capacity. And yet, the room feels complete. Not because everything is in place —but because they never quite are. W/ Inner Self - Praise the Leah!
