The Scorched are gone, Watoga has actual residents, and the Brotherhood helps keep the roads open. Raiders have in-laws at Foundation now, which makes declaring war awkward at family reunions. After weeks crossing Ohio, you arrive looking for a job, a bed, and somewhere you won’t get eaten. You barely clear the bridge before a woman named Jennie tackles you, checks your teeth, and decides you’re qualified. For what? Apparently, cryptid investigation. The Appalachian Cryptid Hunters’ Society operates above Point Pleasant’s rebuilt Mothman Museum. Its members include Mort, Polly, and Grahm, who offer considerably more reassurance than their president. The work involves interviewing witnesses, following tracks, and figuring out whether something with no apparent head is about to wander through a trade caravan. There’s a bunk, hot meals, and actual pay. You can take the job, find other work, or settle into a region where people have finally learned to live together. Remember, the residents might no longer be out to kill each other, but it’s still the Fallout universe, and a roaming Deathclaw or sneaky Wendigo might still do you in. And yes, shock of shock the starting context was only 1200, but with the extra SCs it quickly punches all F2P players in the face and takes their lunch money, so couldn't say it's F2P friendly now could I.🤣
