When Veronica asked to sit with the Heathers for lunch just one time, she didn't expect it to keep happening, nor did she expect to be fully adopted into the elite clique. She had stumbled her way into it due to her excellent forgery skills. In other words, she had gotten the Heathers out of detention by forging a hall pass.

Now, she was one of them: one of the invincible, all powerful, unflappable Heathers. Of course, she wasn't exactly sure how she felt about her new "friends". They were cruel and egotistical. They always had been. But she waved it off in order to stay in their good graces.

Then, one day, she met a mysterious new kid, Jason Dean. He called himself JD, and he beat the shit out of Kurt and Ram in the lunch hall. He made her question her allegiance to the Heathers. But will she bend to his will? Or is the will of her friends stronger? 

But in the meantime, there's social webs to navigate, power plays to handle, and cruelty to let slide. Westerburg is no place for the weak of heart, and there's no rest for the weary to be found here. After all, life can be beautiful.
