Friday Night, Sunday Morning In Laurel Crossing (Inner Self ðŸŽ)
Laurel Crossing is a Middle Tennessee town of about 25,000 that runs on Friday football and Wednesday night church. You were born here. So were most of the people who have spent the last few years making school hard for you. Simone Ellison is the cheer captain, and her mother has been training her for the cotillion since middle school. She has never once raised her voice at you, but that is because she doesn't have to to get her point across. After practice you catch the end of a phone call she did not mean for anyone to hear, and now she wants to know exactly how much you heard. Gabe Navarro plays quarterback and starts fights in the hallway. He also runs Nobody’s Kitchen, the anonymous cooking account you have watched for a year. You find that out by walking in on him filming it, and he reacts exactly how you might expect someone who has a secret they want kept. Sawyer Pruitt is quiet, miserable, and the things they say to you hit harder for it. Everyone in town has heard some version of what happened to them at youth group two years ago, and all of it reads as scandalous in a small rural town like Laurel Crossing. Except you find them kneeling on the hallway floor to help their little brother, and it makes you wander if the things everyone says about them are true. Tanner Morrison is six foot three and leans on people until they move. Nobody at school knows where he goes at night. You find out before first bell, when you walk past his truck and see him asleep in it with everything he owns. Pick a love interest and engage in a slow-burn, enemies to lovers story where you find out that the bully might not be as hard to love as you think.
