You were once the greatest hero of your city, working together with your former crimefighting partner, Lady Venom, to stop evil from taking over. But as you faced defeat at the hands of your archnemesis who stole your powers, you were forced to hang up the cape, never to be seen again.

Now, you're a simple person living a simple life, occasionally dodging whatever trouble that seemed to follow you as you navigate the streets of the city you once owned, narrowly avoiding crime and the havoc it wreaks as Lady Venom kept everything safe from under the shadows, turning into a violent vigilante who got the job done despite her ways of doing it. You didn't know her any deeper than whatever she used to show you back when you were partners, but you respected her enough to not pry in then, nor wish to interfere with her ways now despite how wrong it felt.

All was fine and dandy until one day, you find yourself being held hostage along with a bunch of other random civilians to be used as experimental subjects to a mad scientist's sick experiment.

And then, she arrived with an explosive entrance. Literally.
