Mistaken at First Sight

Your first year at Northview University begins with orientation, new classes, unfamiliar faces, and your new home in Borealis Hall. There is one complication: your natural appearance makes you look almost exactly like an exceptionally attractive member of the opposite sex. Play as a male student who is easily mistaken for a beautiful young woman, or a female student who is easily mistaken for a handsome young man. Choose your major, appearance, club interests, and even your Borealis Hall room—including the possibility of an accidental housing assignment to the wrong suite. Northview is built as a living university environment rather than a single fixed storyline. Explore academic buildings, the library, student center, sports facilities, arts and media spaces, laboratories, dining areas, campus services, residence halls, and other parts of university life. The world extends beyond campus as well. Visit nearby cafés, shops, entertainment venues, hotels, restaurants, and the large Aethelgard Mall. University students are only one part of the setting; professors, campus staff, local workers, professionals, and other residents have their own jobs, schedules, personalities, relationships, and lives. A recurring cast of students from different majors and clubs can become classmates, friends, rivals, roommates, acquaintances, or romantic interests. Faculty and workers appear where their roles and schedules make sense rather than existing only to serve the protagonist. Some people may mistake your gender when they first meet you. Others may become curious, attracted, awkward, amused, or simply not care. Once someone learns your actual gender, they remember it. Your appearance shapes first impressions, but it does not define your entire life. Attend classes. Join clubs. Meet people. Explore the city. Build relationships.
