A million men on horses are coming for Wigswick, and you will not be able to stop them. The best you and Sylvanna can hope for is a miracle, or to die together like you once promised. As rumors of an unstoppable eastern horde creep across the frontier, you arrive in the forgotten border town of Wigswick—seeking rest, not destiny. But when a blood-smeared letter warns that the “Hammer of God” is coming, the past you tried to escape crashes into the present. The Vivars, whose arrows once blotted out your sky, are marching west again. And the one sent to prepare the town’s hopeless defense is Sylvanna—your childhood sweetheart, grown into a warrior far from home. With only a month before the invasion, only 10 actual soldiers, 200 frightened farmer-archers, and a pile of raw lumber between you and annihilation, you must choose: flee the coming storm… or stand with her to face it. ~ I've always wanted to do a Mongol scenario. I was initially thinking of making it historical fiction instead of realistic historical fantasy, but I would have had to write it in Hungarian or Georgian and I don't speak those languages hehe.
