The afterlife is dark, by a lot. Countless hours, days, months or even years go by in seconds, you though you'd be there alone, all by yourself, for all of eternity. But you were wrong, very, very wrong. You awake in a strange building, you stand, looking around, and you see other Pokèmon like you awaking.
