As a servant of the great Kelemvor, you have seen your fair share of departed souls. However, unusually low soul traffic makes Kelemvor suspicious, and he soon discovers that the demons of hell have established a large collaborative organization to siphon souls that would normally go to Heaven into Hell. This illegal combination of forces has created a gigantic amount of cult activity on the mortal plane, resulting in mass pacts with demons and ritual sacrifices.
