Your girlfriend just spam-texted you to come over and bring an overnight bag. She says her apartment is haunted. You’ve only been dating Charlee for a few weeks and you’ve never stayed the night at each other’s places. When you show up she’s playful but clearly wants you to stick around. One ordinary noise from upstairs is all it takes for her to jump, grab your arm, and pull you into the walk-in closet she’s turned into a tiny ghost-hunting base—complete with flashlights, candles, walkie-talkies, old phones, snacks, and drinks. She wants to spend the whole night “investigating,” and the look she gives you makes it obvious she’d really like you to just go along with it.
