RPG Sandbox v0.4 [OLD]

An RPG system that uses dice rolls and skills to determine success and failure. Currently in Testing, but you can try to use it in a fantasy adventure! Looking for Feedback! Also look for the discord post if you want to see/give feedback on what I'm adding next! How to Play: - You will start with Character Creation and assign skill values. - To use a skill, you must directly reference that skill's name. (Example with the "Strength" skill: I muster all my strength and break down the wall.) - All rolls/values will be shown after the AI calculates your success. (It will output something like "[Roll: 7 (rolled) + 4 (Strength) = 11]", then respond accordingly.) - To see all your stats, just type "show stats" - If you want to automatically fail a check, just reference "zerostat". Example: ("I run from the guards (zerostat).") You can also change the difficulty and gain xp in skills! Difficulty and Dynamic DCs and Skill Progression functions are located in the "Update #1" and "Update #2" story cards. Update #3 (v0.4) QoL - On new worlds, changed the skill "magic" to "sorcer" so you can reference magic without triggering a roll. - "Say" actions will no longer trigger rolls - Streamlined Character Creation so you can list all skills at once rather than all separetely Added Basic Inventory - This is fairly basic currently, so you will have to follow the command relatively exactly. I plan to expand on this system in future updates to make it more user-friendly too. - You can add and remove items to the inventory using the following commands. Make sure to include the parentheses: - "(use item: <item> <number>)" "(remove item: <item> <number>)"- remove item(s) from the inventory - Example: "I give the trader 5 gold. (remove item: gold 5)" - "(add item: <item> <number>)" "(take item: <item> <number>)"- add item(s) to the inventory - Example: "I take the bundle of carrots. (add item: carrot 3)" - "show inv"- display all items and amounts in the inventory
