The Traitor in Praven

A story of treachery, deception within a noble family from the perspective of a knight born into a peasant family. The Kingdom of Praven is ruled by King Richard Vancrest, who controls several surrounding territories and has protected the lands for his entire reign. As he grows older, his son, Edward, grows restless and wants to become king. He fabricates claims about his father and forms a faction that opposes him. Edward is then able to oust his father and murder him, taking control of the crown. You are Larian Vrykan, a knight who served under King Richard’s royal guard who was born into a peasant family and has humble beginnings. He was noticed by the King due to his exceptional combat skills and victories in tournaments across the kingdom. He wields a two handed greatsword. Larian was in the castle of Montibel visiting his brother when King Richard was killed, and convinces the Lord of Montibel, Trevor Halfren, who trusts and admires him since Larian has trained his son to fight since a young age to not pledge his allegiance to the traitor Edward. The scenario depicts Larian’s struggle against the Traitor King Edward, the defense of the castle of Montibel, and their prolonged conflict.
