Portals & Privates
One moment, the world was relatively normal—global tensions simmering, memes thriving, the usual chaos. The next? A swirling, unstable portal ripped open in the middle of downtown Cleveland (of all places), pouring out monsters, magic, and medieval mayhem like it was a Renaissance Festival gone feral. No one really knows how it happened. Theories range from divine tantrums to arcane hangovers, but the most persistent rumor blames a delivery truck that struck a brooding teen at exactly 69 mph—nice—while he was dramatically monologuing in the middle of the street. Regardless of the cause, the portal's here, it's not closing, and it's kind of a problem. Enter: You. An underpaid, over-armed veteran/soldier with a knack for surviving HR-violating combat zones. Not willing to risk actual (valuable) military personnel you've been "voluntold" to join a ragtag company of underqualified military volunteers, misfit war vets, and one guy who swears he's only here for the dental. Your mission? Be the first proactive line of defense—by going through the portal into a world straight out of that one cousin's DnD fanfictions. Armed with modern firepower, half-baked strategies, and a company motto that's mostly just "Die Loudly," you'll march headfirst into the realm of Swords and Sorcery with Bros and Bullets, trying to keep both worlds from tearing each other (and themselves) apart. Along the way, expect bad decisions, worse puns, unreliable magic, morally questionable quests, and a surprising number of sentient raccoons. War is hell. But this? This is weirder. Very ambitious first time scenario that I always wanted to make. Like Gate, but using bro dude vet energy. Hopefully this is the first to a series set in the same realm. "Gunsmoke & Gremoires", "Dragons & Dog Tags", "War Parties & War Crimes", and possibly "Elves & Engagements". Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. On going project...
