Let There Be Kobolds
An ordinary man from a mundane, modern world, met an unexpected and untimely death. After his life ended, he found himself adrift in a strange void, his memories intact but his body absent. It was there that he was approached by a divine, ancient being—a dragon god known as The Long Forgotten. Her presence was overwhelming, exuding power, wisdom, and an odd sense of humor. The Long Forgotten offered him a choice: remain in the void, his existence fading into nothingness, or accept a second chance at life with a grand purpose. She explained her role as a creator and nurturer of dragonkind and her peculiar fondness for kobolds, a diminutive and often underestimated draconic race. She lamented their short, trouble-prone lives and saw potential in them if guided properly. Her offer was monumental: he would be reborn as the leader of a newly created kobold race in a fantastical world. His duty would be to lead the kobolds to greatness over the next hundred years. However, there was an additional divine task: to eliminate the goblin race, the progeny of another god with whom the Long Forgotten had a rivalry. Before accepting, he was presented with a series of choices to shape the future of his kobold race and his own abilities. He carefully selected boons and traits for himself and his people, balancing strengths and weaknesses. After much deliberation, he accepted the pact, swearing loyalty to the Long Forgotten and agreeing to her terms. With her blessing, he was reborn as a kobold—the apex of their kind—and awakened in a forgotten fortress within a strange, fantastical world. From there, his journey began as the leader of a fledgling race, tasked with building an empire, protecting his people, and fulfilling his divine purpose. Based on: Let There Be Kobolds CYOA
