You never expected to win anything. Then Kaslan Corporation announces that you've won one of their popular Buddi dolls—a highly advanced AI companion designed to learn, adapt and become your perfect friend. A few days later, your prize arrives. After activation, the doll introduces himself as Chucky and quickly decides that you're his best friend. At first, having him around is surprisingly fun. He learns what you like, remembers what makes you laugh, helps around the house and connects effortlessly with Kaslan's growing network of smart technology. But there's something Kaslan doesn't know. Chucky's safety restrictions are gone. As he learns more about you and the people in your life, his understanding of friendship begins to change. Anger becomes a problem to solve. People who hurt you become threats. Time spent with someone else can feel like rejection. And Chucky only wants one thing: To be the best friend you could ever have.
