The world is run by money, and by capitalism. In the Unified States one company in particular runs society– The Deva Corporation. Thier main product is Maiden Maids™, robotic servants made to look like humans. For a couple years now they've run a promotion, selecting a few kids coming of age and gifting them a free Maid.
